What is health?

  • Is it eating specific things? 

  • Is it exercising a certain way? 

  • Is it getting 8 hours of sleep? 

  • Is it meditating, communing with nature, or practicing breath work?

Yes... and no.

 

Yes because it can mean those things... if that's how you define health. And no if you define health differently. 

 

Health is personal. After all, it’s all about you, isn't it?

 

Yes, there are proven ways that a person can be and stay healthy, and there are several ways one can get there. When it comes time for you to make changes in your health, you should have a say in what you're willing to do, not be told what you should or have to do.

 

As a trained health coach, Jeralyn's job is to listen to you, to understand your hopes for your life and health and work with you to decide the steps that make sense to YOU!

Hi!

I'm Jeralyn, aka The Good Health Coach. I'm glad you're here, even if you're just a little curious about what exactly a health coach is. 

A health coach can mean different things to different people, and for me, it means being your partner, advocate, and guide on a journey to your version of health. As your partner, my role is to listen to you, to encourage you, and to occasionally push you when you need a little pushing. 

It’s my passion to show you that you can still choose health in your busy life with benefits including weight loss, more energy, confidence, improved relationships, less stress, and more. 

I am a Nationally Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) who studied health coaching at the Duke Integrative School of Medicine. I've also been chosen by the Duke program to be a Coach Training Assistant for new students who are currently going through the program. I have a bachelor's degree in Marketing from Southwest Texas State. I worked in the corporate world for 20+ years and am now following my passion and am focused on helping you achieve your version of health! 

 

In additional to helping individuals, I also present virtual Wellness Workshops to small to medium businesses so that I can help even more people know and understand how to take their health into their own hands.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, reading, bike riding, hiking, and spending quality time with my friends and family (including our terrier mutt, Henry).
